Peter Necarsulmer: The Recipe for Success
Peter B. Necarsulmer, the owner and president of the first American public
relations company to make a name for itself in Russia, PBN, is also a
first-rate cook. Whenever his company signs a contract, Mr. Necarsulmer
then rushes off to the kitchen to immerse himself in the preparation of
sauces, spices, exotic main courses, and delicious desserts. He is as
talented at creating culinary masterpieces as he is at creating a new
image for his clients.
Business and cooking have much in common: both are arts in their own
right, and both demand an exact sense of proportion, recognition that
everything should be done in moderation, and an adventurous nature. Good
cooks and shrewd business-people are always on the front line of life.
Anyone who is able to combine both of these qualities is almost guaranteed
success.
While, sadly, only Peter Necarsulmer's closet friends have so far had
the opportunity to sample his talents in the kitchen, his talents in business
are obvious to all. PBN's strategy for the Russian advertising market
is to choose only the choicest morsels among the chaotic selection available.
The list of PBN's clients must surely make rival firms' mouths water.
They include Radisson Hotel International, The Kremlin Cup tennis tournament,
Perestroika Joint Venture, Tumba Golf Club - Moscow, Conoco, and Shell
Oil Company.
PBN had a chance to show off its catering abilities during former US
president George Bush's visit to Moscow two years ago, when the company
organized a business lunch for the president and a hundred leading American
and Russian business-people. Recently Peter Necarsulmer became one of
the founders and organizers of the international Press Club - Moscow,
which gathers leading journalists and media personalities in the Russian
capital. The Press Club is likely to become another of the PBN president's
successes.
