Serhiy Movchan
Vice President and Managing Director for Government Relations, Ukraine Office
Serhiy Movchan supervises multiple client project teams, spanning the government relations, public affairs and crisis communications divisions. Serhiy’s clients include companies from the telecommunications, fast-moving consumer goods, high technology and intellectual property rights sectors. Since joining the firm in 1999, he has managed public affairs campaigns for corporate clients such as Visa, Unilever, MTS, Philip Morris, Diageo, Anheuser-Busch, Microsoft, Eurochem and others. In the public policy sector, he spearheaded efforts for the Delegation to the European Commission in Ukraine, the World Bank and the Coalition for Intellectual Property Rights (CIPR).
From 1996 to 1998, Serhiy was the Communications Director for Utel, Ukraine’s premier international and long-distance telephone service provider. Prior to that, he managed 80 Ukrainian nationals throughout the country’s 24 regions on a national public education campaign for the Cabinet of Ministers funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). From 1991 to 1994, he was Dean of the Economics Department at Kirovohrad Cybernetics and Technical College. He earned his MBA from the Maastricht School of Management, his B.A. from the Kirovohrad Teachers’ Training Institute, and completed courses in journalism at Kyiv State University.
