Open World welcomed 50 Lithuanian political, civic, and economic leaders to the United States on February 26, 2004, marking the first expansion of the program into the Baltic republics. The Open World delegates, who included mayors and other municipal officials, newspaper editors, and NGO and business leaders, traveled in small groups to seven communities across the United States for weeklong working visits. Below, a photo gallery captures some of the highlights of their U.S. stay.
